All Christians Are Teachers
Philippians 4:9 tells us to pass on what we have learned. Wow!!! You know what is missing? An age restriction. Any Christian, young, or old, is not only to pass on what they know, but also are to be a model for others to follow.
Now get out there and teach the faith. EVERYONE!!!! YES, THAT MEANS YOU!!!

Why should we value our relationship with Jesus? Well, duh, He loved us first, still loves us and died for us!!! What else do you need to know? Now show how much you value Him by serving Him!!!
John 3:16

As we celebrate this Fourth of July, it is important that we remember all the men and women that helped to make this country free. We should however, also remember the One Who died so that we can all be free in Him. Show that you are thankful for your freedom by flying the American Flag and sharing your faith.

Be Content
Too many times we find ourselves complaining. We just need to learn that if we just concentrate on being happy in the Lord, things will be alright. Now, this does not mean that we shouldn’t try to improve things or better ourselves. What it does mean though is that in the process we need to be content, knowing that working in God’s strength things will turn out okay.
Philippians 4:11-12

Apathy
How easy is it for you to skip out on church, your devotions, your prayer life, or any other aspect of your relationship with God? Don’t let this attitude slip into your life. It will only hurt YOU!!! Make a point to stay committed to the things of the Lord.

Holding On To Temporary Things
Matthew 6:19-20 tells us to lay up treasures in Heaven. To many times we get caught up in the things of this world. These things will just be gone one day. Let us not waste our time or resources any more. Instead, let us work to share the love of Jesus with others.

Do Less Talking And More Doing
How much time do we as Christians spend trying to figure things out that God didn’t intend for us to figure out? This is true for many topics but one in particular is the “end times.” When one reads Acts 1:6-8, we see that Jesus says don’t worry about the “when” of the “end times”, just get out there and get people ready for the “end times.” We are to be witnessing. Doing the job, not just talking about the job.

God’s Comfort
Matthew 5:4 says, “Blessed are those who mourn, because they will be comforted.” This is referring to those who mourn over sin. When one is upset over sin they will usually get it right with God.
What about you? Do you get upset over sin in your life? This is different than being upset because you got caught. Don’t hold on to sin. It is not worth it! Confess it to Jesus and let Him comfort you.

Wasted Potential
Have you ever read the story of Solomon? He had it all but blew it by hangin’ with the wrong crowd.
In I Kings 2:1-4 we see that his father David gave him godly advice.
In I Kings 3:5-28 we see that Solomon asked for and received wisdom straight from God.
However, in I Kings 11:1-6 we see that Solomon gave it all up to follow the wrong crowd.
What a shame. He suffered for his sins. So will we.

While hanging out on a military base recently, this thought came to my mind, “one cannot be in the service of two different countries; you must choose which country you will fight for.” The same is true when it comes to serving God (Matthew 6:24). We cannot say we serve Him and yet spend all our time doing other things. We need to daily check our plans and priorities to make sure they are God’s. Dave
