How easy is it for you to skip out on church, your devotions, your prayer life, or any other aspect of your relationship with God? Don’t let this attitude slip into your life. It will only hurt YOU!!! Make a point to stay committed to the things of the Lord.

It has been a wild couple of weeks. Busy, busy but enjoying the ministry. School is going ok but I have one proff that I am not too keen on. Our sewer pipes at the house are acting up so we can’t use any water at the moment. Keep that in your prayers. It is a “stinky” situation. We are blessed however; and things will work out. Just use the bathroom before you come over. LOL!!!

Here is a painting that Meg did for me. I cried when she gave it to me. It has all the names of my shipmates that died on the USS Iowa in an explosion back in 1989. It is hanging in my office.

Holding On To Temporary Things
Matthew 6:19-20 tells us to lay up treasures in Heaven. To many times we get caught up in the things of this world. These things will just be gone one day. Let us not waste our time or resources any more. Instead, let us work to share the love of Jesus with others.

Do Less Talking And More Doing
How much time do we as Christians spend trying to figure things out that God didn’t intend for us to figure out? This is true for many topics but one in particular is the “end times.” When one reads Acts 1:6-8, we see that Jesus says don’t worry about the “when” of the “end times”, just get out there and get people ready for the “end times.” We are to be witnessing. Doing the job, not just talking about the job.

No, I’m not talking about the kind from a bowl of chili. Thanks to a rewards card and plenty of soda, I paid a total of $.38 for 20 gallons of gas. Awesome!!!! That’s right, 38 cents.

I love Christian music. Working in radio provides great opportunities. One of those came today as Jana and I interviewed Mike Weaver of Big Daddy Weave. We had a blast. We spent over an hour on the phone total, including goofing off when the show was done and just having a down to earth fun time. The show will air Sunday night at 9pm eastern at wgrc.com. Hangin’ out waiting to get our sewer pipes fixed. Still unable to use toilet for #2. No laundry either. This stinks, in more ways than one.
