What Do You Value?
We all value different things. Unfortunately not all of those things are good. As a matter of fact, not all of those things follow God’s standards of what is good. Many times we value worldly ideals and status instead of heavenly ones. So what are God’s guidelines? Just take at look at Matthew 5:1-12 and you will see.

The Proper Role Model
We all have role models in our lives. Anyone that we look up to is considered a role model. There is nothing wrong with this. The problem becomes when we follow role models that are unhealthy to our understanding of what is right or what is wrong. We need to ask ourselves, “Does this person point me to Christ?” If the answer is “yes”, then chances are they are a good role model. If the answer is “no”, then maybe you should look elsewhere for someone to follow.
Follow the advice of Joshua and choose to follow the Lord (Joshua 24:15).

A Great But Busy Week March 14, 2009

I have had a blast this week!!!!! The radio station has been training me to do live radio. Bruce was not feeling well as he lost his voice, and I was ready to learn so it was a win-win situation. Bruce is the one that showed me the ropes. He was great at helping me out. I will now be able to fill in when someone is sick or on vacation or whatever. Bruce is doing better and am glad to hear that.
This is the next to last week of our basketball program. It has been a great season here with Upward Basketball!!!!!!!!

The circumstances are not good ones as my friend Bruce has been sick so I do wish it was under different circumstances, but it has been good experience. It is easy to skip church. In today’s world, there is so much stuff fighting for our time. The sad part is that we often let the other things beat out our time at church. Hebrews 10:25 tells us not to do that. I always receive a blessing when I get together with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I bet it is the same for you if you are open to God’s blessings. So my challenge to you, skip the other things. Be at church!

After winning districts, Meg’s team lost by two points in the state tourney. Great job girls!!!!!!!!! They beat Selinsgrove for District Title. They lost Bangor.
