Do you realize Jesus cares for you? He understands any sadness that you may be feeling. Isn’t that comforting? Look at Matthew 14. In verses 14-21 Jesus feeds the 5,000. However, in verse 13 we see that He wanted to get away to be alone. Why? Because in verses 1-12, His good friend John The Baptist was killed. Jesus understands our hurts, but He also wants us to continue to reach out to others as He did.

Congratulations to the Milton Black Panthers girls varsity basketball team. They won round one of district playoffs. Meg got to dress with the varsity for the game. She was pulled up from JV. She is in the middle of pic above.
JJ’s 8th grade team placed 5th out of 8 teams in their tourney. He was chosen to represent the team in the free-throw contest. He did good.

Dottie just this week got back from a cruise to Mexico. She and my mom went on a Christian women’s cruise. She got to meet some of her favorite celebrities including actress Candace Cameron Bure and author Karen Kingsbury. The kids survived and I actually went to the store and bought vegetables for the week.
We missed her but glad she got to go. Happy to have her home. Hopefully some pics later.

This week’s show deals with “sexual influences.” With many influences on our lives, it is important that we constantly look to what should be the supreme influence, God’s Word. I Thessalonians 4:3 tells us that we should abstain from “sexual immorality.” If any influence or advice goes against or contrary to this, then you need to stick to the Word and ignore the other.
