Obey? Do I have to?
Well, according to Scripture, yes you do! When you read Ephesians 6:5-9 you see that Paul tells us we are to obey those that have authority over us. Not only are we to obey, we are to do it from the heart. That means that we must enjoy and mean it!!!! Tough stuff isn’t it? God, however; will give us the strength to do it and when we do, we are glorifying Him.

Had a great week!!!! Sunday hosted a “See You At The Pole” rally with a great band “Calling Out Closer.” They are from Reading, PA. You can find out more about them at www.callingoutcloser.com. It has been a great week at school and the church. Spoke at our young adult Bible study this week. I enjoy hangin’ out with them, it allows me to still feel young. My Tennessee Volunteers are stinkin’ it up, but I’m still a die-hard fan. My Colts aren’t doing that great either, and JJ and I lost our fantasy football game as well. That’s the way it goes. Betrayed anyone?
Have you ever been betrayed by anyone? You know, it can be painful but when you look at the life of Jesus, He was betrayed. Read Luke 22:47. One of those closest to Him gave Him up. It did not throw off the plan that Jesus had though and it does not have to throw off your plans. Turn the situation over to God and He will see you through.

Are you connected?
In I Samuel 3:10, The Lord speaks out to Samuel and Samuel responds, “Speak,for Your servant hears.”
Is this the same response that God would get from you? Too many times, I believe people are too busy or not interested or involved in some other distraction that takes away from hearing God speak.
Take time now to evaluate your life and see just how strong the connection is. If there is a weak signal then you may just need to upgrade your connection.

Had a neat opportunity today with the radio show to interview Erin Bethea. She plays the wife of Kirk Cameron’s character in the upcoming movie “Fireproof.” It is due to hit theaters on 9/26/08. She also had a small part in the movie “Facing The Giants.” She was the sportscaster who interviewed the coach of the Giants in the beginning when he had a lollipop and claimed they were fond of the championship and were not going to give it up. Serving God Just Makes Sense!!!!!!!
Romans 12:1-2
When one reads this passage, there is no other thought that can come from it other than the need to serve God. Paul is telling the reader here that after what has been written in chapters 1-11 that there is no other conclusion but that it just makes sense to serve God. After everything that God has done and Who He is, believers must dedicate themselves to Him. This is done by fully giving of the mind to Him and ignoring the ways of the world.
